Having trouble losing belly fat? Use these 5 tips to aid you in your effort to lose fat. Remember, these tips aren’t worth anything if you aren’t going to implement them!

Tip #1 : Mentality is key

loosing-belly-fat In order to start any time of program, you need to have the right mindset. There is no point in starting if you are going to quit halfway through. You need to really tell yourself that you are going to do this or else everything falls apart. Try to keep a journal and make sure to write everything down to track your progress.

Tip #2 : Motivation

loosing-belly-fat Motivate yourself! In order to really see results, you need to find some sort of motivation. A good trick we use is to tell everybody we know that we are going to lose 10 lbs of fat within 2 months. This way, you won’t want to fail because you told everybody that you were going to do it!.You might want to look better at the beach or want to pick up more girls. Whatever the reason is, you need one. Most people fail when the spark to go on ceases to exist.

Some Ways To Motivate Yourself

1)Get a picture of the perfect body you want and put it where you can see it everyday (maybe your desktop wallpaper?)
2)Write some notes and stick it in places you normally see. For example, you might write a note to tell you to not eat that ice cream and stick it on your refridgerator door.
3)Change your computer password to “gottalosefat” or something of that nature.
4)Start a contest with some prizes amongst your friends.

Tip #3 : Get a Gym Partner

loosing-belly-fat A gym partner who you are competitive with is a great way to motivate you to hit the gym. What you don’t want is a gym partner who hates the gym more than you do! This being said, find somebody who you enjoy the company of, who is competitive, who actually wants to lose fat as much as you or even more than you do, and whatever other positive qualities you can think of. This should not be too hard if you go to school, work at a large company, or have tons of relatives and friends.

Reasons why a gym partner is good for you

1) You have somebody to spot you so you can do more
2) You have somebody yelling at you so you work out harder
3) When you don’t want to go to the gym, hopefully your gym partner does and forces you to go
4) If you are single and your gym partner is the other gender, maybe something can happen!

Tip #4 : Eating healthy

loosing-belly-fat Cut out the junk food and start to eat 5 meals a day instead of 3. We know this is hard but this can supercharge your metabolism and help your burn fat faster with less work (isn’t that what you want?). If you have cravings for sweets, eat some fruits instead of ice cream. Do not over do it though, don’t forget that although fruits have tons of vitamins and fiber, they also have tons of sugar as well. Remember that you can have a cheat meal once a week! In this way, you have something to look forward to after all that dieting. A neat little trick we use is to have our cheat meals on Monday because everybody hates Monday. By doing this, we actually can’t wait for it to be Monday!

The Steps
1)Write down a rough estimate of how much calories you intake for a day (We are assuming that you know how to read the labels or know where to find out how much calories there are in fruits).
2)Split the total up into 5 equal portions or more calories for the morning and less at night.
3)Cut out junk food except for 1 cheat meal a week.

Tip #5 : Resistance Training

loosing-belly-fatIt is well known that the more muscle you have, the higher your metabolism. To increase muscle, cardio training can only do so much. You will need to start lifting some weights. Ideally, you should lift weights at least 3 times a week. We know this isn’t possible for everybody but try your best =).
